Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) is the parent church (denomination) of which Hope Lutheran Church is a part.  The ELCA has nearly 5 million members in over 10,000 congregations across the United States.  These congregations are a part of one of 65 geographic areas that are called synods (from a Greek word meaning “to walk together”). www.elca.org

Lyngblomsten has provided health care, housing and a vast array of services for older adults since 1906.  Influenced by Christ, Lyngblomsten provides a ministry of compassionate care and innovative services to older adults in order to preserve and enhance their quality of life.  Hope Lutheran is one of a small number of charter member congregations of Lyngblomsten. www.lyngblomsten.org 

Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota has been changing lives and offering help to families in need for generations.  They provide services for children, youth, and families, for older adults, and for people with disabilities.  They provide financial counseling, adoption services, pregnancy counseling, and much more. www.lssmn.org 

Merrick Community Services has been working in partnership with Saint Paul’s Eastside since 1905. Merrick Community Services operates two 25,000-square-foot community centers, two food shelves, and a job bank. It serves the people who live on the East Side by providing preschool and daycare, parenting classes, counseling services for adults, children and families, emergency assistance, holiday baskets of toys and food, meals on wheels, senior citizen transportation, income tax assistance, and community meeting space.  Hope has partnered with Merrick for years and recently received an award from them acknowledging this long-standing partnership. www.merrickcs.org

Saint Paul Area Council of Churches has as its mission to build a more just and compassionate society by connecting congregations, faith communities and civic organizations to overcome poverty, promote peace and dismantle racism and other barriers that divide our community.  Hope Lutheran has supported many of the programs of SPACC for years. www.spacc.org 

Southeast Asian Ministries is dedicated to assisting immigrants and refugees in St. Paul and Minneapolis.  SeAM provides a variety of services and resources to assist refugees and immigrants on their journey toward self-reliance and to strengthen the community by linking cultures. www.seam-stpaul.org
